I cannot believe that I am beginning my 10th year at WHCA.  Since I have been a teacher at WHCA, I have taught fourth grade, middle and high school English, girl’s physical education, and coached girl’s basketball.  This year, believe it or not, I am excited to be teaching a middle school History class.  I have been teaching middle school English for the past eight years, but I am excited to learn something new along with my students this year.  R. Verdi once said, "Good teachers are those who know how little they know. Bad teachers are those who think they know more than they don't know,” so I guess this makes me a good teacher, since I whole heartedly admit that I know little about the subject of History.  However, God has blessed me with the talent of teaching, and I know that I can do this; it is just going to take some late nights of studying for me!  Now as you know, I will be spending a lot of my free time studying and working on lesson plans this year, but the rest of my time will be spent with my wonderful husband Phillip and our two precious boys.  Lofton, who just turned four this summer, is in Mrs. Terrie Dyer’s Caterpillar class, and Landon, my sixteen month old, is in Mrs. Shirley Hammond’s Duckling class.  I am blessed to not only work at White House Christian Academy, but to also have my sons so close to me each day.
